About the Artist
Born in the Cayman Islands, Mars spent their formative years in the Caribbean before moving briefly to Canada, France, and finally the UK.
They originally wanted to be a filmmaker and studied cinematography before falling into a photography career by complete accident.
As a teenager they were drawn to depictions of androgyny, queerness, and otherness in art, and they were particularly captivated by the foreign, experimental beauty and fashion of big city counter-cultures.
As an adult, they are thrilled to be living out their dream of being surrounded by club kids.
They are a Libra, and the youngest of four.
